How to Install Radiant Flooring?
To install radiant flooring in a garage, follow these steps:
1) Preheat your garage before beginning the installation process by turning off all lights and heating up the area where you will be installing the flooring.
2) Cut out any existing studs or nails that are located near the surface of the wood or metal strips used to create the Radiant Flooring.
3) Spread some WD-40 or other lightweight lubricant over each strip of metal or wood before Starting Installation.
4) Place one strip of metal or wood at a time into position on top of each stud found on the wall/floor; do not place them too close together as this could cause damage to either object during installation. ensure that both strips are facing outward when installed so that they emit an even amount of light while being installed.
5) Hold onto one end of each strip with fingers and use a power drill to start drilling into the wall/floor until you reach one side of each stud (should now see two strips). If there are any tight spaces between the two strips, use a chisel make space. Install both ends of each strip so they form an even “U” shape when plugged into electrical outlets. Refer to your installer’s instructions for further guidance if needed during installation!
