Why Epoxy Countertop Resurfacing?

When most people imagine updating kitchens, they picture tearing out everything and starting from scratch. Thankfully, such drastic measures aren’t necessary to give your kitchen a whole new look.

Kitchen countertops resurfacing can do wonders for a kitchen’s look while costing a lot less money and hassle. Take a look at some of the benefits of refinishing your bathroom or kitchen countertops rather than replacing them.

At Renew Resurfacing, we use a unique process to refinish solid surface kitchen countertops. Whether you are making the switch from laminate to epoxy or stone fleck countertops, you won’t be disappointed with the end result.

During kitchen countertop refinishing, we apply a new, more durable finish over the existing kitchen countertop to give it a beautiful solid surface look of granite or Corian for a fraction of the cost. The color and pattern are improved and the damage is repaired without having to go through the time and expense of a messy tear-out and countertop replacement. Your refinished solid surface kitchen countertop will appear as if you had an expensive new solid surface countertop installed. The resurfaced countertop with the new finish is as durable as the original surface and ever more stain-resistant for a finish that will last for years.

When we resurface kitchen countertops, we also bevel or round over the front edge of your existing kitchen countertop to give them a true solid surface look of granite. One of the telltale signs of a laminate counter or Formica countertop is the black lines and squared-off front edge of the counter. Renew Resurfacing’s resurfacing process eliminates the black lines and softens the front edge to look just like granite or Corian. The end results are amazing.

Affordable

Refinishing your counters is a budget-savvy way to update your Nebraska home or business without spending more money than necessary. A brand-new countertop will cost significantly more money than a bathroom or kitchen countertop resurfacing, and it’s rarely necessary.

Fast

Because refinishing surfaces is a much smaller project than a complete kitchen remodel, it takes less time to complete. That means you can get it done and enjoy your home’s new look sooner rather than later.

Durable

Our refinishing process creates heavy-duty counters that can withstand daily use. Other options, such as countertop paint, often chip or scratch, leaving you with a kitchen countertop that looks less than stellar.

Customizable

Your home is a reflection of you, so the surfaces inside your home should be, too. Our countertops are entirely customizable to your exact specifications, so you end up with countertops that match your home to a T.

Guaranteed

Our work is 100% guaranteed, and we won’t rest until you’re happy. We’re so confident in our products and workmanship that we offer a 5-year warranty on home projects and a 3-year commercial warranty for businesses.

Custom Epoxy Countertops

You can customize your bathroom or kitchen countertops to achieve the exact look you want for your home. Our refinishing process includes design consultation, so whether you’re looking for a granite countertop look or something a little different, we can help you get the perfect finish.

Epoxy Finish

Our epoxy finish is about half the price of granite and looks just as good. Epoxy is very versatile, so you can choose the color and design that best suits your home.

Renew Resurfacing has two unique countertop finishes. Epoxy and Stone Fleck. Epoxy Countertops are becoming very popular. They are an alternative to granite and quartz counters for half the price. They are very easy to maintain and require little to no maintenance. Our crew will customize your epoxy finish to whatever design, color, or style you want giving your kitchen a one-of-a-kind transformation. Epoxy is also a higher quality kitchen countertop than countertop paint. It will last much longer and is much more durable than countertop paint.

Stone Fleck Finish

The stone fleck finish is popular in kitchens and bathrooms that want the look and durability of stone in a more budget-friendly option. Your bathroom or kitchen countertops will thank you, as will your wallet.

Stone fleck countertop resurfacing is a cost-effective way to improve the overall appearance of your home’s bathroom or kitchen. Stone fleck counters are similar to granite but are more affordable and more versatile. From kitchens and bathrooms to basement bars, Renew Resurfacing can refinish or resurface any solid surface countertop.

Epoxy Countertop Resurfacing Services

Our countertop refinishing services include solid surface countertops in any room. If your Omaha area home or business needs a new look, gorgeous new stone fleck or epoxy countertops might be just the thing.

Kitchen Countertops

The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in any home. It’s where the family prepares meals together and where guests gather for casual get-togethers. But if your kitchen countertops require repair or are still sporting an outdated color, it can affect the room’s whole look.

Kitchen countertop resurfacing is an excellent way to improve the look of your kitchen counters without paying an arm and a leg to do so.

Kitchen counters take more abuse than just about any surface in a home, so the finish you choose must be durable and damage-resistant. Our stone fleck or epoxy finishes will hold up to even the most demanding chefs, giving you kitchen counters that look amazing for years to come.

Bathroom Vanities

Have the bathrooms in your Omaha house seen better days? The bathroom is one of the most used rooms in a home, and you want your family and guests to have a pleasant experience.

An old, stained vanity countertop can ruin a bathroom’s look, making it feel dirty and outdated. However, a vanity with a shiny new finish can convert your bathroom into a sophisticated spa-like space that guests will love.

Once we repair any cracks and chips on your bathroom’s vanity and lay the new finish, your countertop will look like it’s made of expensive stone like quartz or granite. Only you’ll know how much money you saved by choosing our refinishing services instead of replacing the entire counter.

Commercial Countertops

Homeowners aren’t the only ones who need attractive, durable countertops. If your business is looking for countertop resurfacing, you’ve come to the right place.

We handle commercial:

  • Bathrooms
  • Kitchens
  • Bars
  • Work areas

Our tough-as-nails epoxy countertops are ideal for high-traffic areas. Plus, you can choose a finish with a granite or quartz look that’s customized to perfectly match the branding of your business.

Why should I consider refinishing or resurfacing?

Refinishing and resurfacing are cost effective alternatives to replacing your shower, countertop or tile that is outdated, damaged, difficult to maintain, or simply not the look you want in your surfaces. Renew Resurfacing will repair chips, cracks, and damage to restore your surface to look and feel brand new. You’ll save your hard earned money and avoid weeks of demolition mess and costly replacement.

What is the refinishing process?

The first step, and most important, is the preparation of the surface. The preparation of your surface makes up about 90% of your project. The tub, tiles, or countertop are carefully prepared to ensure that we are using the best products to fit your wants and needs, all while maintaining the integrity of your surfaces. Your floors, countertops, and walls are fully protected from any unwanted mess/damage.  We use drop cloths on every inch of your home that may be affected by the refinishing process, and mask off other areas to ensure your home is left exactly as we found it.  Next, we apply a bonding agent. This creates a permanent bond between your surface and our coating. Now we apply  our special blend adhesive primer, followed by 3 to 4 coats of our premium coating depending on what your surface requires. The end result is a smooth, glossy, easy to clean surface. No steps are skipped and great attention to detail is taken to give the customer the highest quality results. The tub is ready for use as soon as the next morning!

Which surfaces can I have refinished or resurfaced?

Bathtubs – porcelain, fiberglass, acrylic, cultured marble, clawfoot tubs

Countertops – laminate, tile, solid surfaces, cultured marble

Ceramic Tile – walls, countertops, shower pans, showers, floors

Is epoxy countertop cheaper than granite?

Epoxy, when compared to granite, offers a non-porous surface with high durability that promises longevity. It is much more affordable, anywhere from 3-5 times less expensive than granite depending on the scope of the work.

Do epoxy countertops scratch easily?

Epoxy is a very popular choice for refinishing due to the durability of the epoxy resin. It doesn’t scratch easily, and provides many years of use before the surface fades or becomes dull. It can also handle most common cleaning materials without losing its luster or shine.

Is there an odor?

New finishes contain necessary solvents to make the finish both durable and reliable. Generally, the odor will dissipate within 24-48 hours as the finish completely cures and creates a long lasting, beautiful new finish! If you or anyone in your household are sensitive to paint-like odors, please let us know so we can discuss accommodations for your service.

How long will the new finish last?

With proper care and maintenance, Renew Resurfacing can extend the life of your surfaces for up to 10-15 years or more. Our premium products create a chemical bond between old and new surfaces, assuring your surfaces a long life so that you can enjoy your refinished tub, tile and countertops for years to come.

What are my color choices?

Renew Resurfacing has a variety of high quality finishes that can give your surfaces whatever look and feel you want! We customize your surfaces to be as unique and original as you are, so do not hesitate to bring any finish ideas to the table.

What about clean up?

We like to leave our customers homes the way we found them. Unlike other refinishers, we remove all paper, tape, masking, clothes, and other items to ensure you get your home back just how you left it. Your bathtub/countertop will be ready for use as soon as the next day.
